The Greensburg Wastewater Treatment Plant is committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective wastewater services that protect public health and the environment. We achieve this by treating all wastewater to meet or exceed regulatory standards, ensuring the safe discharge of treated water for downstream users while supporting a sustainable water future for our community.

Our facility operates in strict compliance with regulations established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). The Wastewater Utility maintains 73 miles of sanitary sewer lines and 16 lift stations to provide reliable service throughout the community. We are also committed to environmental stewardship by recycling 100% of our biosolids through approved land application programs.

This commitment to operational excellent, regulatory compliance, and environmental responsibility ensures the protection of our community's health and natural resources for generations to come. The Wastewater Treatment Plant is staffed Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. For after hours emergencies, please call 812-663-3131.
