Reservoir Fishing Begins March 4, 2023

Fishing at the Greensburg Reservoir will begin Saturday, March 4. Fishing is the first and third Saturday on the month until Saturday, October 20. Fishing opening and closing dates are weather dependent. There are no boats, no engines, and no floats allowed. If you have any questions, please call the Water Plant at 812-663-2641.

Board of Works

The Board of Works is the chief administrative body of the City of Greensburg government. Its powers include oversight of the day-to-day operations of the following departments:
- Police Department
- Fire Department
- Engineering
- Water
- Sanitation
- Streets
- Water Pollution Control

In addition, the Board of Works regulates traffic improvements, air pollution, water pollution, building inspection, animal control, and aviation. Members of the Board of Works are chosen by the Mayor of Greensburg. Board of Works meetings fall on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm in City Hall. If regular meeting date falls on a holiday, then the meeting will take place on the following Wednesday.
