K9 Unit
The current GPD K9 Unit was created in 2017 and currently consists of two K9s and their handlers: Officer Mays and Kato, and Officer Polley and Bradly. Kato and Bradly are all dual-purpose certified in narcotic detection, tracking, and apprehension.

Ruff Runner 5K
Come show your support of GPD's K9 program during our first annual Ruff Runner 5K! All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Greensburg Police Department K9 Fund to purchase a victim therapy K9. If you register before May 20, you'll receive an event t-shirt!

9:30 AM: Race Check-In Begins
10:00 AM: K9 Demonstration with GPD Officers
10:30 AM: 5K Begins
Tickets are $30 per adult, $15 per child under 12 years old. Snacks will be provided for runners, and the race will conclude with a community cookout! Register today by emailing police@greensburg.in.gov, calling 812-663-3131, or stopping by the station at 201 S. Broadway Street. Information is available below.
