Station 1
Station 1 is currently home to 7 Greensburg apparatus. As with many mixed departments in the state, each apparatus has the markings of either Greensburg or Washington Township depending on which government purchased the equipment.
Ladder 1 - 2013 Ferrara Igniter HD 77' Aerial - 1500gpm/500gal
This apparatus was ordered with the same specs as the City of Houston, TX. The original plan was to have it run as a Quint out of Station 1. However, with the age of Tower 6, this apparatus was moved to serve as the primary Aerial truck for most incidents at Greensburg. It rolls along with Engine 1 as first-due for commercial and structure fire calls.
Rescue 1 - 2004 E-One Cyclone II Heavy Rescue
Rescue 1 carries two sets of Amkus extrication tools and responds to all vehicle accidents and rescue calls in Greensburg and Washington Township. It will also run county-wide to assist with extrication calls and specialty rescues. R-1 was one of 13 identical units leased to the Iraq Fire Services which was the Wackenhut contract fire protection service in Iraq.
Tanker 1- 2020 Spartan Tanker 1000gpm/2000gal.
Tanker 1 is a Washington Township apparatus which is housed and staffed by Greensburg Fire Department. It's first out for calls in Washington Township and also serves for mutual aid fires in the county.
